I turned in my recording gear today. Its a little sad thinking that this semester is practically over, especially when it feels like a second ago I was just beginning. I reluctantly have finished both of my final pieces (which will be playing at our opening tomorrow/friday 5-8 PM at 561 Congress Street!!!) knowing that [...]

12.9.09 by Storrey Morrison Leave a reply »Where to begin? I’ve spent most of the semester wondering if I even really like doing documentary work and if it is the type of photography I’d like to get into. I’d had no prior experience in documentary before Salt and I have learned so many things here I don’t think I could count them [...]
No “and then”!
11.7.09 by Liz Leave a reply »This past Friday, I had the distinct pleasure of somewhat surreptitiously attending a session for the radio students, focused on the topic of “Life After Salt.”

09.10.09 by Caitlin Leave a reply »Last night we all gathered in the Red Room (a gallery, class, and miscellaneous space that is entirely, you guessed it, RED) for our first movie night. We watched a documentary about the Farm Security Administration, which was responsible for sending out the photographers who created some of the most recognizable and iconic images of [...]
It begins!
09.8.09 by Caitlin Leave a reply »The first day of Salt starts bright and early at 8am. Of course, I jolt awake and look in horror at my alarm clock at 8:06. After a very rushed tooth-brushing and a walk/run to Salt, sure I have just succeeded in making THE worst first impression in the HISTORY of Salt OR anyone in the universe anywhere, I arrive at 8:20…but it’s all good, people are just writing name tags and getting to know the others at their tables.
